YashiroBot v1.0

Difficulty Moderate

Focus Anti-Air and Crossup Movement

YashiroBot is part of a large group of bots that use the same inputs, under the Codename "Snow Angel". Any other bot with their own version of the preceding sentence, can be used/switched to, after entering this one set of Action Inputs. Those bots have unique point systems, purposes, and settings, so be sure to check other pages for that information. This bot works for Angel, Kula, Yashiro, Shermie, and Chris.

YashiroBot is a bit more complex than some of the other "Snow Angel" bots but works better than most of them if the inputs are done imperfectly. His Point System can be rather difficult, however, so it is recommended you only use this bot if you've been able to successfully use "Big Fire" bots on at least Normal Difficulty.

YashiroBot's main focus is teaching you how to use both roll and back dash defensively. They are a great option for dealing with Yashiro's optimal neutral spacing. Yashiro players can punish you if you do these defensive options too early or predictably, so learning to react to what the player is actually doing rather than predicting what they are doing is neccesary to use these options well.

Bots in KoF are able to be saved by activating the game's "Autosave" function. However, you can only save 1 bot at a time. Therefore, we have checked all characters using the inputs used to determine which of them can be useful, resulting in the codename "Snow Angel" due to the two most explicitly effective characters. These have been given separate, specific pages, when we consider the result to be good enough to act as a functional bot for that character, but there are a few more where we didn't think that the bot reached that level, but a player could still get some use out of going a few rounds with that character with just these 'Snow Angel' inputs. A full list of characters and related things can be found in the 'In Depth' section at the bottom of this page.

Gauge Settings

As with all bots, 1P Health should be set to "Normal", set 1P Power Gauge to "1"

These settings may change based on your goals, explained in the Difficulty section below.

Settings for 2P are Health - "Auto-Recover" and Power Gauge - "5".

Goals

Completing each action gives 1 point. Try to get to 10 points without dying. Note that if you don't see the word Punish show up on your side of the screen when you perform a punish for points A, B and D you did not perform the punish correctly.

Otherwise (especially if you want to use these inputs for other bots in the 'Snow Angel' group, see our AngelBot page for information on how to verify that this bot has been correctly input. Please input this bot using Angel for clarity.

In-Depth

In addition to acting as the inputs for KulaBot 1.0, AngelBot 1.0, ChrisBot 1.0, YashiroBot 1.0, and ShermieBot 1.0, the 'Snow Angel' bot inputs also function somewhat reasonably with Dinosaur (some slight experience can be gained), Ramon (experience with a limited subset of his abilities can be gained), and Joe Higashi (Most useful for practicing punishes similar to 'Big Fire' (KyoBot) without going to the effort of changing the bot back to that one.
