RalfBot v1.0
Difficulty Intermediate
Focus Cross Ups, Whiff Punishes and Endurance
RalfBot is part of a large group of bots that use the same inputs, under the Codename "Big Fire". Any other bot with their own version of the preceding sentence, can be used/switched to, after entering this one set of Action Inputs. Those bots have unique point systems, purposes, and settings, so be sure to check other pages for that information.
RalfBot is a fairly simple yet straightforwardly effective bot that helps you learn the basics of landing a cross up in KoF. Unlike other fighting games there is no specific indicator in KoF XV that you have landed a cross up. Nonetheless it is still possible and a vital skill to practice as the spacings for landing one and the timings for the follow up combo can be unintuitive if unpracticed. Ralfbot has a little bit of most of Ralfs moves and like most members in the "Big Fire" series of bots has the ability to chip you out. While he has a lot of explosive damage and capacity to chip you out, there are a lot of moves on Ralf that can be either evaded or whiff punished. Learning how to get these whiff punishes is key to the match up even if his relentless nature can make it difficult to land. Because of all these parts of Ralf and the Bots design he is one of the first of our KoF bot that can be used to train endurance. The longer you play against him, the more difficult it can e to land the cross up or complete the full combo. It is therefore recommended you play against RalfBot either first or last in your training sessions with the "Big Fire" series of bots. RalfBot's point system may change later after further research.
Bots in KoF are able to be saved by activating the game's "Autosave" function. However, you can only save 1 bot at a time. Therefore, we have checked all characters using the inputs used to determine which of them can be useful, resulting in the codename "Big Fire" due to most of the characters where the bot is effective using fiery moves. These have been given separate, specific pages, when we consider the result to be good enough to act as a functional bot for that character, but there are a few more where we didn't think that the bot reached that level, but a player could still get some use out of going a few rounds with that character with just these 'Big Fire' inputs. A full list of characters and related things can be found in the 'In Depth' section at the bottom of this page.
Gauge Settings
As with all bots, 1P Health should be set to "Normal", set 1P Power Gauge to "1"
These settings may change based on your goals, explained in the Difficulty section below.
Settings for 2P are Health - "Auto-Recover" and Power Gauge - "5".
Goals
Completing each action gives 1 point. Try to get to 10 points without dying. Note that if you don't see the word Punish show up on your side of the screen when you perform a punish for points A, B and D you did not perform the punish correctly.
Points System
- A - Punish Dynamite Ralf Punch
- B - Dodge or Interrupt Ralf Kick
- C - Whiff punish Gatling Attack
- D - Land a cross up.
Variants
- To train Meter Awareness, change 1P Power Gauge to '2', points are gained for using the correct punish based on available meter (no points gained for punishes that use no power gauge).
Difficulty Levels
- Easy - Points given for ABCD, any punish with the correct starter is valid for Point System A
- Medium - Points given for ABCD, but all punishes for Point System A must also be the maximum damage you can get with the Power Gauge available (use it all to get the point)
- Hard - Points given for BCD only. Point B becomes "Interrupt or Punish Ralf Kick"
- Extreme - Points given for B and C only (if you normally play defensively) or B and D only (if you normally play offensively.)

Recording Notes
- Players should note that if you hold buttons or directions before starting input they will instantly occur once you start recording. This makes it easier to get frame 1 (FirstFrame) inputs compared to most other games. Additionally you can use the Options button to end recording just like other games, as well as the 'record' button. Use whichever is easiest for you, but note that we are still investigating if there is some input loss when using the Options button, and if you encounter problems, try using just the 'Record' button to end the recordings.

In-Depth
In addition to acting as the inputs for RalfBot 1.0, MaiBot 1.0, KyoBot 1.0, KBot 1.0, and KrohnenBot 1.0, the 'Big Fire' bot inputs also function somewhat reasonably with Terry Bogard, Ryuji Yamazaki, and Billy Kane. Complete point systems for a potential TerryBot are in development. A certain variant will also allow for a decent YashiroBot, to be completed later.
