RashidBot v1.0

Difficulty Advanced

Focus Longer Range Punishes, Erratic Defense

RashidBot is on the border line between an intermediate and an advanced bot, depending on the character used against him. For this reason, we are listing RashidBot under 'Advanced' bots even though the general flow and movements can be simple to overcome for certain characters. This bot is mostly only for working on the Rashid matchup for those who don't have access to a Rashid Player, and for whom the CPU is just not doing the things they need to work on, often enough.

Since a large part of the ability to fight Rashid at lower tiers (Silver or less) revolves around learning punishes to force the Rashid player to respect you rather than putting on endless pressure, success against this bot is focused around that idea.

Gauge Settings

As with all bots, 1P Health should be set to "Normal". 1P CA Gauge should be set to "Normal", but 1P V-Gauge should be set to "Auto-Recover".

Settings for 2P are Health - "Auto-Recover", V-Gauge - "Normal", CA Gauge - "Auto-Recover".

Goals

Completing each action gives 1 point. Try to get to 10 points without dying.

Points System

Difficulty Levels

Action #1

Perfect

From close enough to hit with V-Trigger gauge at full, 5LK+MK, 6HP+HK, fast hidden [236LP+HP 236] end recording immediately.

Acceptable

From close enough to hit with V-Trigger gauge at full, 5LK+MK, 6HP+HK, slow hidden/not hidden [236LP+HP 236], end recording immediately.

The primary difference between the Perfect and Acceptable versions can usually only be seen by replaying this action without V-Trigger gauge for the 6HP+HK V-Trigger Cancel. The aim should be to make sure the EX Spinning Mixer is not used directly after the V-Trigger. The more quickly this is input, the better, but not hiding it at all can be useful as well, just a bit predictable.

Action #2

From close enough to hit, 2LP cancel into 236LP, hidden [236] end recording immediately.

Variant

Hit up to 3x 2LP before doing the cancel.

Use the Variant if you want Rashid to have options for doing Spinning Mixer differently, at the cost of making the pressure a little more predictable.

Action #3

Perfect

5MK.5MP (Plinked, should appear in Key Inputs as a 5MK followed by 5MP+MK), 9, end recording immediately

Acceptable

5MK.5MP (Plinked, should appear in Key Inputs as a 5MK followed by 5MP+MK), optional 9, end recording.

The longer 9 is held, the higher chance of Rashid having regular forward jumps somewhat randomly. If he jumps too much and the input is too difficult, remove the 9 input altogether.

Action #4

Perfect

2LP+HP, hidden [66, 214] end recording immediately.

Acceptable

PPP, hidden [66], 214, end recording immediately.

For the Perfect version to be correct, the LP+HP must have no 2 or any other crouching input even one frame before it. If this is too difficult, it is more important to enter the LP+HP (or PPP) for the edge-shifting on other inputs than it is to specifically have the 2HP as part of the bot.

Action #5

Perfect

1LP+LK, hidden [1MP+MK, 66, 6LK] 6LK, 6MP, end recording immediately

Acceptable

1LP+LK, hidden [1MP+MK] 66, 6LK, hidden [6LK, 6MP], end recording.

Variant

6MP can be input as either 6HK or 1HK instead if the player needs to learn to punish either of these moves.

When done correctly, this allows for throws after regular pressure strings. The difference between Perfect and Acceptable is that Acceptable does running Eagle Spike more often. Players who have difficulty with the Perfect version should not be concerned, as they probably will benefit more from the Acceptable.
